Florin Pop-Vancea FLO mountaineering and survival instructor
Florin (Flo) is an engineer and has been practicing mountaineering for over 25 years. He has taken part in a great number of mountain expeditions and trips through Europe, Asia, Oceania, and North America.
In the year 1992 he crosses The Meridional Carpathians in only 15 days. In 1996 he became the first Romanian to reach the top of Mount Ararat. In the same year he climbs the summits Kackar Dagi and Demir Dagi.
1997 - Solitary ascent of the Erciyes Dagi summit.
In 2002 national premier Ruapehu Summit and Egmont Summit (Taranaki).in New Zealand .
He participated in the Ice-climbing World Championship in 2006 and was ranked 14th in the speed contest. His specialty is ice climbing, having climbed an impressive number of ice walls and waterfalls.
He is an M.T.S. certified Mountaineering and Survival Instructor. Attended the Millitary Officers Schools - Special Forces. He founded his first school in New-Zeeland and then the one in Romania.
Martial arts practicant for 17 years . He is now a AllStyle instructor - Full contact (MMA).
Runs the Free Wall ice climbing team.
He has a certificate from the National Society of The Read Cross in Romania.
He opened his first school in New Zealand and then in Romania He was a producer of many TV-shows for TV-CBN and Antena 1 Cluj regarding mountaineering and in the autumn of 2008 he re-started the production of this TV-show for ONE TV Transilvania and now at Transilvania Channel.
